Digital Media Analysis can include 2D or 3D photogrammetry of still images or analysis of video to determine position, speed and timing of vehicle, objects, pedestrians and events. Even if a video might not show a specific event, the audio contained in that recording could be analyzed to determine key events such as initiation of hard braking, turn signal activation, horn activation, and even vehicle travel speed. We have conducted and published, peer-reviewed, research specifically analyzing dash camera audio to determine vehicle speed.
